Creature Corner reports that James Wong and Glen Morgan, the writer-producer-director team behind many of The X-Files episodes and feature films such as "Final Destination", "The One" and "Willard", will write "Black Christmas" and Morgan will direct.
Producing with Morgan and Wong will be Steven Hoban, Victor Solnicki, Marc Butan, Marty Adelstein and Dawn Parouse. Copperheart Entertainment head Steve Hoban commented that, "by Copperheart is continuing to play to its strengths of developing and producing theatrical genre films but is now stepping up to studio-level pictures and working with the best talent in the industry".
The original 1974 "Black Christmas" starred the likes of Olivia Hussey, Margot Kidder and John Saxonin a tale of a sorority house which is terrorized by a stranger who makes frightening phone calls and then murders the sorority sisters during Christmas break.
