Last week's Variety included a large two-page ad announcing the commencement of principal animation on Universal's "Curious George" film and confirmed that joining Will Ferrell who is starring as the Man in the Yellow Hat are Drew Barrymore, David Cross, Eugene Levy, Dick Van Dyke, Joan Plowright and Ed O'Ross.
Rope of Silicon has posted up a scan of the ad which lists the film as aiming for a February 10th, 2006 release date with Jun Falkenstein directing the film for producers Brian Grazer and Ron Howard. The story follows George, the inquisitive little primate transplanted from the jungle to the big city by The Man in the Yellow Hat, where his spunky and fun-loving nature endear him to new friends he meets along the way and lands him in a series of adventures.
