Out doing promotion for "The Mechanic", director Simon West says he's looking at a potential sequel to his very first feature, the 1996 Nicolas Cage action feature "Con Air".

"I'd like to do... 'Con Air 2'" West tells Crave Online, "It'd be great. It's a matter of getting everybody together. There's so many people involved and it's about getting everybody to agree. But I'm going to bring it up to Nic. I'm going to put a bug in his ear about it. If the two of us want to do it, we'll go after the others."

West's next project is "Medallion" at Nu Image/Millenium Films which reunites West with Nicolas Cage. The story follows a father, a former master thief, who has only a few hours to find his daughter when she is kidnapped and locked in the trunk of a New York medallion taxi cab.
