Late Friday, rumours surfaced that "Kick-Ass" co-writer Jane Goldman was already at work on the script for the proposed sequel.
Now, Goldman has shot down reports, saying on her Twitter account "saw a few erroneous reports today that I'm currently writing Kick Ass 2 script – sorry if anyone's disappointed, but not true. Currently writing for 2 other projects, then on to lovely Matthew Vaughn's next thing (right now, looks unlikely to be KA2) when X-Men post-prod' ends".
There's a small chance that 'next project' of Matthew Vaughn's post-"X-Men: First Class" could be a film adaptation of another of "Kick Ass" creator Mark Millar's comic titles - "Superior". Another candidate is "Bloodshot", the comic adaptation about a slain mobster re-animated with superpowers.
For now it's unsure what he'll do post X-Men. Goldman admits one of the 'two other projects' she's working on is a secret one that has yet to be announced.
