Ben Affleck is set to make his directorial debut on a new film called "Gone, Baby Gone" for Touchstone Pictures reports Variety.
Based on the book of the same name by 'Mystic River' author Dennis Lehane. It tells the story of two private detectives searching for a kidnapped four-year-old girl in a working class Boston neighbourhood.
Shooting on the film will begin in Boston in the autumn; Affleck will not star in the film.
