After years of patient waiting, housewives and melodrama lovers of the world have united in joy over the announcement that "Titanic" is coming properly to DVD in various special editions later this year.
At a press conference at the Beverly Hills hotel, John Landau & James Cameron announced an October release for the film in both two-disc and four-disc sets. Cameron confirmed that "there will be no director's cut. The director's cut came out in 1997" however nearly an hour of new footage cut from the movie will be restored and finished so it looks as good as the final product. Those scenes will be viewable via an on-screen cue.
The four-disc edition will contain the exact same contents as the two-disc, plus a boatload of extras on the other two including a documentary by Ed Marsh. The film itself will be split across two discs. Cameron expects both stars Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet will take part in the making of the DVD.
Thanks to 'William'.
