Jennifer Lopez may have lost a little of her spark due to the tabloid chatter of the last two years, but that hasn't kept her down as today it was announced in Variety that she will reteam with her "Selena" director, Gregory Nava, on her next pic, "Bordertown."
Budgeted around $20 million and financed through Mobius Entertainment, the project is slated to begin production in New Mexico and Mexico at the end of April. The Nava-scripted dramatic thriller concerns a journalist who investigates a series of murders near American-owned factories on the border of Juarez and El Paso.
"Bordertown" was originally developed at New Line Cinema. Lopez next stars in "Monster-in Law" for New Line opening May 6th. Nava's last pic was the Frankie Lymon biopic "Why Do Fools Fall in Love?" in 1998.
Thanks to 'Will'
