Who would've thought one penis, and one seen by more people in the world than pretty much any other aside from Ron Jeremy or the midnight snack of one Paris Hilton video, would cause an international furore.
"Young Adam", the Scottish Highlands thriller which opened late last year in the UK is finally going States-side in April but not after a bit of a ratings issue. Seems one scene involving a nude Ewan McGregor getting out of bed was enough to slap the flick with an NC-17 rating by the US ratings board - the MPAA.
Since the ruling, American distributor Sony Pictures Classics has made plans to appeal. Now a source for the New York Post says whatever the case "They're not going to cut the scene, they are going to release the movie with Ewan's [bleep] in it, no matter what".
This wouldn't be the first time Ewan's ample manhood has caused a ruckus, the Scot having displayed his member in at least four films now, most notably Peter Greenaway's infamous "The Pillow Book" where it seemingly got more screen time than his face, not to mention naked Japanese women painting calligraphy all over it whilst an elderly fat guy gets in a grope (its a STRANGE movie).
Animations and caps of the infamous 'Adam' scene are already widely circling the Net, a censored version to give you an idea of the scene is now online. The film itself opens in the US in April, around the same time the uncut version hits DVD in the UK so no doubt if it gets cut for US release, the amount of imports will probably shoot right up.
