Trade Breaks: Faris, Shankman, Reitman

Returning for her fourth installment as the comic screen queen, Anna Faris will get paid $2 million upfront to reprise her role as virginal and slightly dimwitted heroine Cindy Campbell in "Scary Movie 4." With performance bonuses, her payday could exceed $3 million. Dimension Films is mounting the fourth installment to shoot in July. Adam Shankman ("Bringing Down The House", "The Pacifier") will helm 20th Century Fox's sequel to "Cheaper by the Dozen," reuniting with him with topliner Steve Martin. Deal calls for Shankman to begin pre-production immediately and have the pic ready to lense by June. Story is again by Sam Harper ("Just Married") and follows the 12-kid family on vacation and in a head-to-head competition with a rival neighborhood family of eight kids. Regency Enterprises is in negotiations with Ivan Reitman to helm the comedy "Super Ex" from "Simpsons" writer/co-exec producer Don Payne. Story centers on a man who discovers that the needy, manipulative woman he's dating is a superhero. When he breaks up with her, she uses her superpowers against him.
