Batman: Intimidation Game: "Liam Neeson is in final negotiations to star opposite Christian Bale in Warner Bros. Pictures' upcoming Batman movie being directed by Christopher Nolan. The studio declined comment on Neeson's role. He will next appear in "Kinsey" and is shooting "Kingdom of Heaven"..." (more info). Popeye's Voyage: "Kathy Bates will supply the voice of Popeye's archenemy Sea Hag/Siren in "Popeye's Voyage: The Quest for Pappy." Fox network spec, due to air at the end of the year, reps the first time Popeye will get the CGI toon treatment. Billy West ("Ren and Stimpy") will supply the voice of Popeye. Paul Reiser and Jim Hardison co-wrote the 30-minute special...." (more info). Truck Turner: "Queen Latifah is driving this remake to the big screen for MGM. She is producing the remake, which Chris Frisina has just been hired to write for the studio and Queen Latifah's production company Flavor Unit Films. The original 1974 film, directed by Jonathan Kaplan, found Isaac Hayes in the title role starring as a bounty hunter hired to kill a man named Gator..." (more info). Tupperware: "Crossroads Films is planning to turn Laurie Kahn-Leavitt's documentary "Tupperware!" into a narrative feature film for Anura Idupuganti, Tom Donahue and Kahn-Leavitt to co-produce along with Paul Miller and Crossroads principals Dan Lindau and Camille Taylor. Currently out to screenwriters, the film will follow the rise of reclusive inventor Earl Tupper's plastic bowls to cultural icon status more than 40 years ago..." (more info). Amityville Horror: Creature Corner reports that the recent "Texas" remake scribe Scott Kosar will pen the script. Antartica: Reps have offered Kurt Russell a major role in the Disney project. Doctor Who: The BBC reports that Russell T Davies is writing seven episodes with hopes 13 will be made for the new series.
