French filmmaker Luc Besson ("The Professional," "The Fifth Element") and scribe David Marconi ("Enemy of the State," "Live Free or Die Hard") have co-authored an untitled romantic drama script which Besson is currently shopping around to studios says Reuters.
Besson is also attached to direct the project, his first English-language directorial outing since 1999's "The Messenger: Joan of Arc". Production is looking to get underway at the end of September in London and Paris with casting about to get underway.
Besson plans to continue his prolific producing and writing work as well. The prison-in-space drama "The Lock Out" and the Zoe Saldana action thriller "Colombiana", both of which he co-wrote, are also being shopped around this week with his name attached as producer.
His most recent directorial effort, the fantasy-adventure "The Extraordinary Adventures of Adèle Blanc-Sec", opened in France in April and will likely score a release in Western territories later this year.
