HBO's third season premiere of "True Blood" drew 5.1 million viewers during its first showing on Sunday night, plus an additional 1.3 million viewers during the 11 p.m. replay giving it 6.4 million viewership reports The Live Feed.
That number is 38% higher than the season two opener, and 19% up from the season two average performance. The show's ratings height has previously peaked at 6.6 million for a single airing.
"The Tudors" star Maria Doyle Kennedy has joined the cast for the upcoming fifth season. Kennedy will appear in several episodes playing an Irish nanny hired to care for Dexter's son Harrison.
Mekia Cox will replace Jessica Parker Kennedy on NBC's spy drama which J.J. Abrams is producing. Cox will play Lizzy, the older sister of the female lead, who is unaware of her family's involvement in the CIA.

The first is a twenty-second teaser for "Eastbound and Down" spoofing the original teaser trailer for "The Dark Knight", the second a noir-inspired 30-second "Bored to Death" teaser.
