A Stern Take On Toy Story 3

By Garth Franklin Tuesday January 18th 2005 10:19PM

Jared Stern, a young participant in Disney's feature animation story development program pitched a proposal for a third "Toy Story" film, which the studio sparked to but is keeping under wraps according to The Hollywood Reporter. According to Disney, no determination has been made whether Stern will pen the "Toy Story 3" screenplay himself or whether other writers will be involved. The story is expected to take the toys outside of Andy's room and out onto the road. Disney has begun recruiting animators to work on the sequel and pending any shock new developments in the Pixar-Disney relationship, Disney is working on the "Toy Story 3" project by itself. Stern is finalizing a two-year first-look deal with Endemol USA to develop reality/hybrid projects, and has a half-hour script at the WB Network in contention for fall. Thanks to 'JHBlade'
