Some bits of news are too short to dedicate a whole article too, but deserve much better 'placement' than the standard tri-weekly 'News Bites' column so today here comes a look at some of those that hit my Inbox in recent days:
- Madonna has persuaded Britney Spears to appear in the animated film version of her children's book "The English Roses," voicing the story's heroine Binah says M&C Movies. She has also managed to secure the vocal skills of David Bowie and rapper Snoop Dogg for the big-budget movie, whilst she will voice the Fairy Godmother.
- US Magazine indicates Bill Murray will have a small, but pivotal part in "Basic Instinct 2: Risk Addiction" which Sharon Stone coaxed him into when they met late last year. Murray will play an American working for Scotland Yard where the male lead is also employed.
- Bruce Willis talked to FHM Magazine and confirmed that Doug Richardson, the writer of "Hostage" is currently hard at work on a draft for a fourth "Die Hard" movie. Seems Richardson's story treatment is the only one that Fox has liked so far out of the various ones they've looked at.
- Mathieu Kassovitz announced today on CANAL PLUS that he has just finished the final draft of "Babylon Babies". Shooting will begin late in the year.
- In a recent set interview for "Skeleton Key", Kate Hudson confirmed that "My production company is trying to develop a remake of Hitchcock's Vertigo".
- It looks like "28 Days Later" writer Alex Garland will write the script for the sequel to last Halloween's cult hit "Saw" which has currently grossed $56 million. Thanks to 'Flying Reporter', 'EB', 'Antoine', 'Dean', 'James'
