Seth Rogen and Chris Pine are on a list to play one of the two male leads opposite Reese Witherspoon in the comedy "This Means War" for 20th Century Fox says The Wrap.
The story follows two life-long friends who fall for the same woman (Witherspoon) who has moved into their spare room. They end up fighting for her affections, a fight which literally demolishes much of New York City along the way.
Though rumoured to include Robert Downey Jr. and Matt Damon, Rogen and Pine are apparently the only ones in competition for the role of FDR, one of the two friends. The other friend role was offered to James Franco who has since passed on the job.
Bradley Cooper was also recently attached but dropped out of the project. As a result, Rogen could segue into the role Franco left so both he and Pine could potentially star.
Tim Dowling ("Role Models," "Midnight Run 2") is currently re-writing the script the studio purchased well over a decade ago. McG is slated to direct the film which aims to start filming in July. Will Smith and James Lassiter will produce.
