Though some are already back like "Lost," "30 Rock," "Chuck" and "24", lately it seems as if many genre shows have been missing from TV for a while now. Around Easter a bunch of them are coming back to deliver new seasons, or the remaining episodes of their recent seasons - making April and May a very busy time for good viewing.
Many of these have released brand-new promo trailers for those upcoming episodes in just the past few days, and so here they are - all new to the site.
Ashes to Ashes
At last a trailer for the eight episode final season has arrived using footage from the actual episodes (not a one-off promo like last year). They deliberately avoid mentioning how last season's cliffhanger will wrap up, one assumes we'll have to wait and see when the first episode goes to air April 2nd:
Breaking Bad
AMC's highly acclaimed series kicks off its much anticipated thirteen-episode third season tomorrow night (March 21st) and while earlier promos for the new season were pretty dark, this one is much more comedic (and appealing) in tone:
Bones
FOX is set to premiere the remaining eight episodes of the fifth season starting April 1st, but its the second episode in this batch airing on April 8th that has everyone talking. It's the show's 100th episode which will look back at the first time Booth and Brennan worked on a case together.
Doctor Who
After that solid New Year's clip montage and that strange one-off 'time vortex' cinema promo last month, we now have a 30-second trailer cut together with footage from episodes throughout the thirteen episode first season featuring the new Doctor (Matt Smith). Reaction has been stellar this time around, only two weeks to go until it starts on April 3rd:
Fringe
Returning April 1st after a decent sized break, a special episode delves heavily into the backstory about Walter and Peter's past and the decisions that lead Walter to cross into the alternate universe. Eight episodes in total remain of the second season which will air weekly without interruption.
Glee
It seems like its been away for ages and although we've already a rough early teaser, Fox has released this HD promo that will air right up until the remaining nine episodes of the first season begin April 13th.
Smallville
Normally The CW promos are usually rather terrible, but they've actually come up with a cute one for the remaining seven episodes of the ninth season which start April 2nd.
V
After only a four episode run in the Fall which saw huge ratings for the pilot but notably more modest numbers by the end, the sci-fi saga returns on March 30th with the remaining nine episodes of the first season.
