OutKast's Andre Benjamin has signed on to star in Paramount Pictures and Lorenzo Di Bonaventura's untitled Mark Wahlberg project, formerly known as "Four Brothers" says The Hollywood Reporter.
This is the first major studio project for the hip-hop star. Tyrese Gibson ("2 Fast 2 Furious", "Flight of the Phoenix") and Garrett Hedlund ("Troy", "Friday Night Lights") have also joined. They'll play Andre 3000's siblings along with Wahlberg, who was previously announced as one of the brothers. This is Wahlberg's second upcoming project for Paramount, he's also committed to the "Italian Job" sequel.
John Singleton will direct the drama from a script by David Elliot and Paul Lovett about four adopted brothers who seek to avenge their mother's death. Principal photography is scheduled to begin Monday in Toronto.
