Kerry Williamson ("Fork in the Road," "Breaking the Bank") will pen the script for Fox 2000's suspense thriller based on Patricia Cornwell's best-selling book series says The Hollywood Reporter.
Williamson's screenplay will draw from the world and characters Cornwell has created from the seventeen novels featuring medical examiner Kay Scarpetta, but won't include any novel's specific plot.
Angelina Jolie remains attached to star while Mark Gordon and Geyer Kosinski are producing. The plan is to turn this into a potential franchise.
