Warner Bros. has paid a hefty $2-2.5 million for an untitled spec script from "Cars" writer Dan Fogelman says Variety.
The story follows a father whose life unravels while he deals with a marital crisis and tries to manage his relationship with his children. The tone will be light and sentimental with touches of drama.
Fogelman wrote the script specifically with Steve Carell in mind, and the studio paid extra for that. Carrell, Charlie Hartsock and Vance DeGeneres will produce.
