sp;> yahoo.jpg" align="center">Empire Magazine just held their annual awards show in the UK and on the red carpet all sorts of gossip came out from the stars on their assorted upcoming projects. Here's some of the news revealed by the celebs themselves, courtesy of Empire and Yahoo UK:
"The Village" Sigourney Weaver talked about her role in the highly secretive M. Night Shymalan project - "I play Alice Hunt who's a widow - she's one of a group called The Elders of the village. It's a kind of a communal village and there's a group of people who run things very democratically. I'm Joaquin Phoenix's mother and he plays a very extraordinary, shy young man who's also very brave. It's a fabulous story on a lot of levels - not just scary but very interesting. I had nightmares for two weeks just reading it - so I think it's going to be very scary!"
"Alien 5" Weaver also talked about further Ripley adventures - "Ridley Scott and I have talked a bit about doing one where we go back to the original planet but I don't think any of us are really thinking about it. We're all too busy". She doesn't know much about the upcoming "Alien vs. Predator" but said the spin-off was "one of the reasons [she] wanted to die in Alien 3".
"Kill Bill, Vol. II" Actress Julie Dreyfus spoke a little about why Tarantino delayed the release of the second chapter - "I think he wants to take his time and just make it perfect. He has that kind of luxury in the business. He can make as good a film as he wants to so I don't think he wants to disappoint anybody so he just takes his time...I've only seen one scene but [Quentin] says it's a lot like the old Tarantino you know. There's a lot more dialogue and a little less action. It's a little bit more character driven". "Harry Potter And The Prisoner Of Azkaban" Emma Thompson discussed working as Professor Trelawney on the big-budget fantasy flick. "Oh it was so nice. [Director] Alfonso Cuaron's the nicest man in the world and the kids were so lovely," she told Yahoo before revealing that she hopes to still be in the role by the time the fifth book is filmed because her character "has a nervous breakdown which I'm very much looking forward to 'cos they'll be no acting required, just the waving of an empty bottle".
Thanks to 'Brian', 'Helen' & 'Andy'.
