Will Fetters will pen the adventure feature "Crazy for the Storm" for Warner Bros. Pictures says The Hollywood Reporter.
The coming of age story centers on Norman Ollestad, an 11-year-old Californian boy who becomes stranded in the San Gabriel Mountains after a plane crash.
His father, killed in the crash, had pushed Norman to embrace extreme sports and the kid was forced to use skills his father taught him in order to survive.
Fonda Snyder, Rob Weisbach and Bill Gerber are producing.
