Miramax Films has acquired feature film rights to Helena Andrews' "Bitch Is the New Black" reports Variety.
The upcoming tome is a satirical look at the new generation of young, successful black women in Washington, D.C.
Andrews, a New York Times journalist and culture columnist, will adapt the screenplay. "Grey's Anatomy" creator Shonda Rhimes and Betsy Beers ("Casanova") will produce.
