Mandy Moore and "Chuck" star Zachary Levi have scored the lead voice roles in Walt Disney Pictures' Digital 3D-animated feature "Rapunzel" reports Heat Vision Blog.
The story takes a new spin on the classic Brothers Grimm fairy tale with the princess, famous for her 70 feet of golden hair, after she's been stolen from her parents' castle as an infant and imprisoned.
Now a teenager, Rapunzel (Moore) escapes and goes on the run with a bandit (Levi) as her captor pursues them. Byron Howard and Nathan Greno will direct the film.
Roy Conli is producing and Alan Menken ("Beauty and the Beast," "Aladdin") will compose the film's music. The film opens next year.
