Phil Hay and Matt Manfredi, the guys behind "Crazy/Beautiful" and the upcoming "Aeon Flux" are already at work on their next script entitled "Market Forces" for Warner Brothers and based on the Richard Morgan British sci-fi novel.
Last week in Germany, the handsome and well-spoken Hay revealed that the film is set in about 20-30 years in the future when everything has become sort of like Iraq - ie. basically the world is run by companies like Haliburton and Daktel.
Hey says it's a science-fiction version of "The Firm" as such with "a golden boy in one of these companies has risen through the ranks and then basically gets a conscience when he finds people are trading off of misery and war and conflict and decides to bring the system down."
No word yet on a start of production date.
