USA Today has released the first two photos from writer/director M. Night Shyamalan's "The Last Airbender".
An adaptation of his Nickelodeon cartoon series "Avatar", the photos feature 12-year-old newcomer Noah Ringer as Aang and "Slumdog Millionaire" star Dev Patel as the firebending villain Prince Zuko. Both actors have black belts in martial arts.
Paramount Pictures will release the film on July 2nd 2010.
