Just as his Bruckheimer actioneer "National Treasure" gets set to hit theatres next Friday, it has been announced that Nicolas Cage has lined up his next project funnly enough entitled "Next" according to Empire Online.
Lee Tamahori ("Die Another Day", "xXx2") will direct the adaptation of sci-fi author Philip K. Dick's story "The Golden Man". Dick's work has yielded many a Hollywood movie including "Blade Runner", "Total Recall", "Minority Report", "Paycheck" and "Impostor".
In "Next", Cage plays a man who has the ability to see into the future, and change it accordingly. However, he soon is forced into that most difficult of choices between saving the world or saving himself.
Filming starts next Summer, most likely after Cage wraps work on "Ghost Rider". "Total Recall" adapter Gary Goldman will pen the script.
