From The AFM Floor, Part II

So many deals are being laid in place every few hours its hard to keep up. Here's part two of the special report looking at all the dealings on Wednesday at the AFM for the assorted product according to Variety:

  • American World Pictures has distribution rights worldwide to "Chasing Ghosts." Crime thriller stars Michael Madsen, Shannyn Sossamon and Meat Loaf.
  • Dream Entertainment has acquired all international rights to the WWII action/thriller "Straight Into Darkness." Pic was written and directed by Stefan Avalos and stars Ion Bechet, Ryan Francis, Scott MacDonald and Linda Thorson
  • "Master of Horror" is a new horror anthology series assembling helmers including John Carpenter, Don Coscarelli, Joe Dante, Mick Garris and John Landis for 13 one-hour films. IDT Entertainment sales will handle worldwide distribution of the series and Anchor Bay Entertainment will handle all video releases
  • The first project under BFC Berliner Film Companie's new software licensing deal is the 3-D feature "Happily N'Ever After." Paul Bolger directs the pic, which was written by Robert Moreland. Voice talents include Sigourney Weaver, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Freddie Prinze Jr., George Carlin, Andy Dick, Wallace Shawn and Patrick Warburton

  • Momentum Pictures has picked up UK distribution rights to "2001 Maniacs". The Tim Sullivan-helmed film is the first project to go out through GreeneStreet's Raw Nerve horror label. Thanks to 'KarlChilders'.
