Writer's Block: Bergman, Rogers

Andrew Bergman will write a modern-day adaptation of the 1940 comedy "I Love You Again" for New Line Cinema. Story concerns a dull businessman who suffers a blow to the head, snapping him out of a heretofore-undiagnosed nine-year amnesiac haze and revealing his true persona as a charming swindler. (more details) John Rogers ("Catwoman") is writing "Transformers," the DreamWorks/Paramount live-action tentpole based on the popular Hasbro toys. Steven Spielberg is exec producing. Pic is slated for a summer 2006 release and will likely be a franchise property. Don Murphy, Lorenzo DiBonaventura and Tom DeSanto will produce. DeSanto wrote the story Rogers will adapt.
