Quite a few reviews today from readers including some big scripts, this week's releases and a few up and comers:

Batman: Intimidation Game (script) "5 stars. Basically, an origin movie and a very dope one at that. The second half of the film is just as good if not better. There is a big Batmobile chase that will knock your socks off. This was a fun script to read. I was literally ooing and awing as I read. You bet your ass Warner Brother's will make serious Cartel Drug Dealer Dollars with this one. I will be first on the geek line to see this flick. A very entertaining read and I tip my hat to David Goyer for a job well done..." (full review)

3001 (script) "The screenplay...is one of the best screenplays I have ever read. Its sometimes truculent skewering of the dumbing-down of the world, of which Judge has been partially accused of contributing to with his creations Beavis and Butthead, will no doubt become a comedy classic...if 20th Century Fox allows Judge to make the film as written on the page. So savage and scabrous does this screenplay get at times, this reviewer cannot imagine the powers of be allowing everything in the script to make it to the final cut. Which would be a shame, because what makes the screenplay so uproarious is its brutal honesty about what is happening with the world today...." (full review)

Against the Ropes "It's unfortunate that the film is "inspired" by Jackie Kallen's story. More background of where she came from, how she got there, and what motivated her would have added so much more life to the film. Maybe the "real" story may have been more interesting, and ultimately, more inspiring..." (full review)

One Perfect Day "Near everyone in the film has there share of a few dud lines and chunks of woeful dialogue - but that's more to do with minor flaws in the script, not the talent on show. "One Perfect Day" isn't the magical pill the Australian Film Industry is waiting for to pull it out of the doldrums, but it's quite a good cut. Best of all, it grooves to a dynamic, passionate and electric beat, whilst never speaking down to the niche youth-audience it's targeted at. Worth a listen...I mean, watch..." (full review)

The Perfect Score "Hello, and welcome to the S.A.T. also known as the SINEMA ATROCITIES TEST. Never heard of the word SINEMA? Well maybe because its a fairly new word, new as in five minutes ago. It's a term used to describe SINS created within the CINEMA, much like the sin committed by the producers of the new film "The Perfect Score." If they used the "8 Simple Ingredients For A Comedy" like the horrible "Along Came Polly" did, they might have had moderate success at the box-office, but instead they've chosen to take this exam and as you can see, ha, ha, they got a D, which isn't very good and basically means they failed..." (full review)

"Perfect Score moves along at fairly brisk space - never really taking any risks- and always making sure to take paths that have often been traveled by other teen films. It's not Broadway theatre; nor is it meant to be. MTV Productions and director Brian Robbins (executive director of several Smallville episodes) know their target audience and are aware of how that audience likes to be entertained. Characters and plot devices that seem formulaic and derivative to older veteran movie watchers may come across as fresh and funny to a new teen audience..." (full review)

The Big Bounce "The Big Bounce has a few laughs and nothing else. It's a shame to see so many great actors in a bad movie. I fault the director, because he has a good cast, sans Sara Foster, and squanders it away. Maybe the script was terrible to begin with and the actors just wanted a paid vacation in Hawaii. Who knows, the fact of the matter is that The Big Bounce is a big flop. Also, the music is horrendous. I would readily have turned off the sound and read the captions if given a choice..." (full review)

"THE BIG BOUNCE is a mediocre movie that tries to be tricky, but in the end falls flat. The basic story isn't all that interesting, and the movie does little to liven it up. The jokes throughout will receive some laughter, however only one or two are actually worth noting. The scam itself is somewhat interesting, but the payoff isn't worth sitting through the build up to get there..." (full review)

Ginger Snaps II: Unleashed "Why advertise a product you don't really sell? I guess that's the deal with this world; it's always "25% more", or "better than" the competition, or "newly improved." Ginger Snaps II: Unleashed is like that product that promises so much, but delivers the "same as before" feeling- or experience..." (full review)
