With all that talk about "Superman", it's hard to remember that there are other comic book hero movies out there in development right now. Today, a few new assorted facts on them have popped up over at Superhero Hype:
USA Today has published the first photo of actress Natassia Malthe as Typhoid Mary in Fox's "Elektra" opening in January. The character is a normal woman, but at night, her eye color changes and she becomes a knife-wielding psychotic capable of spreading typhoid with just her breath. Former ballet dancer Malthe says "She can kill with her touch or by kissing or even blowing kisses. If she walks through a forest, everything withers around her". This kissing scene was filmed over two days in the woods on a bed of dead leaves.
Meanwhile, WhedonEsque found out the definitive word on "Buffy" creator Joss Whedon's potential involvement in the third "X-Men" movie: "Joss also said he would NOT be directing X-Men 3, he wasn't going to be writing or directing it, he thought long and hard about it - but Fox didn't ask him and if he showed up to start directing it would be a faux pas".
Thanks to 'Cody'.
