Whilst John Williams may be seeing his "Superman" theme getting a revival, his "Harry Potter" tunes seem to be going the way of the dodo.
Jarvis Cocker is set to write the soundtrack for the next film - the currently shooting "Harry Potter & The Goblet of Fire" according to recent reports in British tabloid The Sun. Movie bosses apparently wanted a trendy British musician to score the new film rather than utilising stalwart John Williams.
The good news is that Cocker was the top choice by the various cast, including Radcliffe for the job. A film insider says: "He is a very talented musician who is a big fan of movies and knows exactly how they work. You may just think Jarvis is the bloke in specs who fronted Pulp but he is a man with many hidden depths".
