The Hollywood Reporter has made a number of director announcements for assorted film projects today.
First up, Revolution Studios has picked a follow-up project to "White Chicks" for the Wayans brothers titled "Little Man." Keenen Ivory Wayans will direct the project alone, and will share writing and producing chores alongside brothers Shawn and Marlon who will star in the film. Plot details unknown.
Also revealed today, Producer Judd Apatow ("Anchorman") will make his feature directorial debut on "The 40 Year-Old Virgin" for Universal Pictures. Apatow co-wrote the script with Steve Carell ("Anchorman"), who will star in the comedy.
Finally, "Saved!" helmer Brian Dannelly is in negotiations to direct "Army Geek" for Fox 2000. Dannelly and his writing partner, Michael Urban, also are working on the script written by Joe Wein. "Army" revolves around a directionless high school graduate who eventually becomes a man at an Army boot camp where he's whipped into shape by his female drill sergeant.
