The most sexually explicit film ever in British cinema has been passed uncut according to Ananova.
Michael Winterbottom's "Nine Songs" is made up almost entirely of explicit and real sex scenes. Actors Kieran O'Brien and Margo Stilley play Matt and Lisa, a young couple living in London and the film charts their relationship from first date to break-up. The title refers to footage of nine bands the couple go to see.
The British Board of Film Classification has given it an 18, saying its sexual content is "exceptionally justified by context", however the precedent set by "Intimacy" in 2001 was over real-life sex that lasted just seconds. In "Nine Songs", there are few scenes which do NOT have any sort of sex.
