Variety reports that Ray Liotta and Jason Statham are on board to star in the Guy Ritchie-helmed action drama "Revolver", which Ritchie abandoned a year ago in favor of directing a studio film at Columbia Pictures, "Six Shooter." However, that film wound up being a nonstarter.
"Revolver," which is produced by Luc Besson and Marty Katz, is now in production in London and the Isle of Man. It's the story of a hotshot gambler who becomes tangled in a game with deadly consequences.
Ritchie wrote the script with Ethan Gross and Paul Todisco. It's the first since the director's dismally received "Swept Away" in 2002. Liotta is set to topline the pilot "Criminal Behavior" for NBC whilst Statham has just wrapped "The Transporter" sequel.
