Hurricanes Sweep CSI: Miami

By Garth Franklin Tuesday October 12th 2004 02:53PM

CSI Files, arguably the most comprehensive site out there for the top rating Bruckheimer drama franchise reports that "CSI: Miami" will mark the November sweeps with a special 90-minute instalment entitled "Crime Wave" that'll cover a topic very current to most Floridians - evacuations from natural disasters.

In the episode, part of Canary Islands' Cumbre Vieja volcano collapses into the sea, sending a 100-metre high tidal wave towards the Florida coastline. Reminiscent of the recent hurricanes, mass panic erupts as anxious residents converge on banks and supermarkets to secure money and supplies to see them through. In the midst of this, the CSI team try to transport key evidence away to a safe location, even as they have to deal with new cases caused by the crime wave.
