  • New photos are out from two polar opposite film adaptations: John Hillcoat's potential awards candidate based on Cormac McCarthy's The Road, and Uwe Boll's latest fizzer based on the video game Far Cry.

  • Posters for The Secret Life of Bees, Hell Ride, Religulous, Mirrors, RocknRolla.

  • Wednesday's box-office stats say that stoner comedy "Pineapple Express" nabbed $10 million, the "Traveling Pants" sequel scored $5.5M, and "The Dark Knight" took in $5M.

  • Out doing promotion for "Star Wars: The Clone Wars", George Lucas shot down talk of developing a fifth "Indiana Jones" with Shia LaBeouf's character in the lead.

  • Jeffrey Dean Morgan confirms that the controversial scene in "Watchmen" where his character shoots a pregnant Vietnamese lady has been shot for the film.
  • The fifth video journal on Warner Bros. Pictures' "Watchmen" has gone up at Yahoo Movies and takes a look at the Owlship. There's also further photos and an in-depth bit on the design from production designer Alex McDowell's blog over at AICN.
  • What claims to be the first review from a test screening of "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button", and the word is very good.
  • The Shia LaBeouf thriller "Eagle Eye" is set to get a simultaneous IMAX release on September 26th.

  • The lost teaser trailer for the proposed but never develope "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" animated series has gone online.
  • Ice Cube is very keen on the B.A. Baracus role in John Singleton's upcoming feature film version of the classic "The A-Team" series.
  • David Goyer has talked in detail about the story of his upcoming horror flick "The Unborn".
  • Film director Albert Pyun ("The Sword & The Sorcerer") talks about his "Streets of Fire"-inspired upcoming project "The Road to Hell" with AICN.
  • It sounds like "The Transporter" star Jason Statham really wants to be "Daredevil".
  • "Feast" scribes Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan will rewrite "Piranha 3-D" for director Alex Aja.
