Marco Garibaldi's Godfather Entertainment will produce a remake of the 1968 Peter Sellers cult hit "The Party" says The Hollywood Reporter.
Blake Edwards directed the original film which centered on Sellers' Hrundi V. Bakshi, a bumbling Indian extra accidentally invited to a glamorous Hollywood party, with Sellers hamming it up in a series of loosely connected vignettes.
The new version has a hapless blond Midwesterner having his appearance changed to resemble an Indian by a zealous studio eager he fit a part.
Godfather is also developing a mob movie titled "The Vault", and teaming with Nu Image Films for the psychological thriller "Last Chance Motel". Their first film, the Brittany Murphy romantic thriller "Across the Hall", will be released next year.
