Universal has picked up the film rights to the comic book series "Resurrection" says The Hollywood Reporter.
"Eli Stone" co-creator Marc Guggenheim penned the story which centers on a group of survivors trying to take back control of the planet after an apocalyptic alien invasion.
Guggenheim will executive produce the adaptation. The third issue of the comic has just hit stores.
