Amanda Peet, Oliver Platt and Rebecca Hall have joined the cast of Nicole Holofcener's new untitled dramatic comedy for Sony Pictures Classics reports Reuters.

Holofcener ("Friends with Money") wrote and will direct the film which revolves around a woman (Catherine Keener) and her husband (Platt) who live next door to an elderly woman whose New York apartment the couple owns.

The pair are essentially waiting for the elderly woman to die so they can reclaim the apartment but run into interference from - and then form a relationship with - the woman's granddaughters (Peet and Hall).

Several roles haven't been cast, including the part of the grandmother and of Keener's daughter. The movie will be set and shot in New York in mid-May, and aims to wrap ahead of a potential SAG strike.
