Connery Aborts Heist Movie

Empire Online reports that Director Brett Ratner's latest project has taken a hard blow with word that lead star Sean Connery has left the production.

Filming was scheduled to begin in February on "Josiah's Canon" with Sean leading the world's most accomplished bank robbing crew on a very special job to knock over a supposedly impenetrable bank in Switzerland. For Josiah (Connery) it's personal as the Holocaust survivor is after money deposited by Jews before Hitler's final solution was put into effect.

Connery has officially detached himself from both the film and the $17.5 million paycheck that went along with it. Why has he left? Seems that the Scot plans to dedicate the next few months to the task of writing his autobiography. Ratner is currently rushing to find a replacement.

Thanks to 'Kristy'.
