Phoenix Pictures and the Gold Co. are teaming on the comedy "Amish Gone Wild" says Variety.
The story focuses on the Rumspringa ritual, a rite of passage in which Amish teens expose themselves to pop culture and the experiences of the "English" world in order to make an informed decision about whether to live the restrictive Amish lifestyle.
The main characters will be two Amish teenage brothers who go to Las Vegas for one last hurrah before joining the church. Writers are in discussion about the project.
