Out doing the promo rounds for "Taxi", Jimmy Fallon spoke with IGN Filmforce about his next big project - the Farrelly Bros. directed comedy based on Nick Hornby's "Fever Pitch":
Fallon is currently in Boston filming "Fever Pitch" with Drew Barrymore and says - "It's really fun. I've been in Boston the past two weeks at Fenway and it's unbelievably awesome. I'm just having a blast". Fallon plays Ben, a man consumed by his love for the Boston Red Sox and it seems they were able to film around actual recent games at Fenway.
"We film after the games. And actually we did a couple of shots during the games. We didn't want to bother anybody, but in between innings we'd run in, sit down, then the camera guys in front of us would start. And we'd just watch a couple innings. That's the first time I think they've ever done something like that in any movie; where we have actual fans around us".
Fallon already shot one memorable scene with the fans - "I had to run across the field and [Drew] falls into my arms and we kiss. Everyone stayed! Thirty-five thousand people stayed. It was so emotional and cool. I just ran across the field and everyone was cheering. It was exactly like watching the end of Rocky or something. And I was like, 'Hey! I'm kind of [like] Rocky!' It was the most memorable moment I ever had".
Thanks to 'Great Head'.
