Candice Bergen has signed on to co-star in the romantic comedy "Bride Wars" for Fox 2000 and New Regency says Variety.
The story revolves around best friends (Kate Hudson and Anne Hathaway) who are pitted against each other when their wedding dates clash. They compete for venues, services and guests.
Bergen will play Marion St. Claire, the queen of all wedding planners. Shooting starts this month in Boston.
Gary Winick will direct from a screenplay penned by June Diane Raphael and Casey Wilson.
