Hey if Eminem can do it, why can't someone else eh? Mere hours after it was announced that Usher Raymond was going to star in an untitled "8 Mile"-esque drama, came the news that Curtis '50 Cent' Jackson will make his big-screen acting debut in the semi-autobiographical "Locked and Loaded" according to Zap2It. The project stars 50 Cent as an ex-drug dealer who cleans up his act in order to get in the music biz. Producer/writer Terence Winter (HBO's "The Sopranos") will write the screenplay for the project, which is aiming for a 2005 or 2006 release.

Many of the other people involved in the project were also involved in "8 Mile". 50 Cent's debut album was the biggest-selling album in the U.S. for 2003 thanks to the internationally successful single "In Da Club".

Thanks to 'A Buck, Split'.
