Word on two English flicks has come through from 'Chesty LaRue' involving an ex-LOTR star turned kung fu fighter and a model-cum-adventurer:
"The Purifiers may actually get a cinema release according to (unconfirmed) rumours that it will be out in the UK in January. Most people had given up on the film ever getting a big screen release as the reviews have been awful and it was filmed a long time ago.*If* the January release story is true then it may only be a token release.
Catwalk Model Amie Jenkinson is to play an Avengers type spy in the movie "Bloodstained Gods" currently shooting in the UK and Sweden. The 25 year old beauty is a combat expert, scuba diver, parachutist and expert dancer offscreen. She was taught Japanese at the age of 17 while living with Enterprise babe Jolene Blalock. Jenkinson was given special firearms training by former SAS personnel.
"Bloodstained Gods" is a horror spoof in the same vein as "Shaun of the Dead". Its based on the writings of author George Elder who is a big genre fan. Even the name of Jenkinson's character - Catherine Vaughn - is an in joke: it's a reference to UNCLE star Robert Vaughn who was in the UK at the time the script was written making the TV series Hustle".
