Aussie heart-throb Eric Bana has signed to star in Curtis Hanson's "8 Mile" follow-up, entitled "Lucky You" according to Empire Online.
After two recent major action roles in "Hulk" and "Troy", Bana will instead opt for a more serious drama turn in Hanson's film, a Las Vegas saga set in the world of high stakes poker. Hitting casinos with a view to at winning, Bana plays Huck Cheever, a man whose philosophy to live and let die has served him well.
Oscar winning scribe Eric Roth "Forrest Gump" is penning the screenplay. Bana is still attached to Spielberg's "Vengeance", the story of the terrorist attack on the 1972 Olympic Games.
