Variety reports that Pete Hewitt ("Garfield: The Movie") will direct Tim Allen in "Zoom's Academy", a Revolution Studios comedy about an out-of-shape former superhero called back into action to save the world.
Scripted by Adam Rifkin and rewritten by Jordan Roberts, production will begin in late spring. The film is based on the Jason Lethcoe graphic novel "Zoom's Academy for the Super Gifted".
Allen previously made the Joe Roth-directed Thanksgiving family comedy "Christmas With the Kranks" for Revolution.
