Little Shop of Horrors
“Riverdale” and “The Flash” producer Greg Berlanti has denied casting rumors of Josh Gad and Rebel Wilson joining his in the works remake of “Little Shop of Horrors”. Updating the project’s status at an “Everwood” reunion panel at the Television Critics Association this week, Berlanti tells That Hashtag Show:
“I am working on a script for that with somebody right now, but there’s no casting decisions that have been made. We’re still working with a writer on how to make it again for today. We have some real reasons why we think it would be really cool to do again.”
Richard Madden (“Game of Thrones”) is joining the cast of the Netflix movie “Ibiza” alongside Gillian Jacobs, Phoebe Robinson and Vanessa Bayer.
The story depicts a business trip to Spain that turns into a nightclubbing adventure. Alex Richanbach directs with Lauren Kahn penning the script.
Adam Huss, Madeline Zima, and Grant Bowler have signed on to star in Roxy Shih’s indie drama “Painkillers,” joining Debra Wilson and Naomi Grossman. Filming begins in Los Angeles next week.
Huss plays a surgeon who, after a terrible car crash in which his son dies, is tormented by guilt and becomes prey to an unbearable physical pain. While his marriage starts disintegrating, John soon finds out that the only thing that can ease his pain is the taste of human blood.
Jessie Nickson-Lopez (“Stranger Things,” “Narcos”) will pen the script for the superhero-crime film “Pulse” at New Line Cinema and 21 Laps. Dan Cohen and Shawn Levy will produce.
The story follows a teen investigating the murder of his older brother alongside the police, and he begins developing a unique ability that helps him uncover the truth.
Oscar nominee Demian Bichir is set to co-star in Doug Liman’s sci-fi thriller “Chaos Walking” at Lionsgate. The film is based on Carnegie Award-winning novelist Patrick Ness’ popular young adult novel trilogy.
Tom Holland plays a young man who lives on the distant planet of New World which has been struck by ‘The Noise,’ a virus that inflicts immersive visions on one’s every thought. He soon discovers that a girl named Viola (Daisy Ridley) might be the key to unlocking New World’s many layered secrets.
Untitled Tom Brady Biopic
“The Fighter” scribes Paul Tamasy and Eric Johnson have come onboard to pen the script for the biopic about New England Patriots superstar Tom Brady and the Patriot’s miraculous come-from-behind win in this year’s Super Bowl.
Casey Sherman and Dave Wedge penned the book “12” which the film’s producers, including Ellen Goldsmith-Vein (“The Maze Runner”), just won a bidding war for. The book hits in 2018.
Untitled Skateboarding Project
Crystal Moselle (“The Wolfpack”) has directed an untitled skateboarding feature film Bow and Arrow Entertainment, RT Features and Pulse Films. Moselle, Aslihan Unaldi and Jennifer Silverman penned the script with filming recently wrapping in New York City.
The story follows a lonely suburban teenager whose life changes dramatically when she befriends a group of female skateboarders. Jaden Smith and Elizabeth Rodriguez along with real New York City skateboarders Rachelle Vinberg, Dede Lovelace, Nina Moran, Ajani Russell, Kabrina Adams and Jules Lorenzo star.

Production has officially begun on the third feature in the Bond satire franchise “Johnny English”. Rowan Atkinson will reprise his role as the titular MI-7 agent, six years after the sequel and a full fourteen years on since the first. David Kerr helms.
Photos of both Ryan Reynolds and Zazie Beetz at work on the “Deadpool” sequel have emerged. The pics show the pair having parachuted down into a location in Vancouver in their Deadpool and Domino costumes.
