Magnolia Pictures has acquired all U.S. rights to “Taxi to the Dark Side” director Alex Gibney’s new cyber warfare documentary feature “Zero Days” aside from pay TV rights which went to Showtime. A late Summer theatrical release is planned.
Premiering it this week at the Berlin Film Festival, the story follows a self-replicating computer malware that the U.S. and Israel unleashed to destroy a key part of an Iranian nuclear facility, and which ultimately spread beyond its intended target. [Source: Variety]
Fox has released another promo for the upcoming mid-season premiere of FOX’s “Gotham,” this one putting the focus on Nathan Darrow’s Mr. Freeze character who was briefly seen in the mid-season finale’s final moments and who forms a key part of the upcoming ‘Wrath of the Villains’ episodes which kick off from February 29th.
Three in a Bed
Revolution Films has picked up the film rights to Andrew Croker’s tabloid journalism-themed comedy-thriller novel “Three in a Bed”. Set shortly after the real-life 2014 phone-hacking trial of senior staff from Rupert Murdoch’s now shuttered News of the World newspaper, the action centers on a tabloid news editor.
