xXx: The Return of Xander Cage
Vin Diesel sports indestructible knees in a brand-new clip from “xXx: Return of Xander Cage” which sees the action star donning skis and leaping off a communication tower into jungle and sliding his way down the slopes.

Joining Diesel is Samuel Jackson, Ruby Rose, Donnie Yen, Rory McCann, Toni Collette, Tony Jaa, Nina Dobrev, Deepika Padukone, Danny Wu, and Ariadna Gutierrez. The new “xXx” opens on January 20th.

Jack Ryan
“The Imitation Game” and “Passengers” helmer Morten Tyldum is set to direct the opening episode of Amazon’s straight-to-series drama “Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan” which is being produced by Platinum Dunes, Skydance Media and Paramount TV.

“Lost” co-showrunner Carlton Cuse and writer Graham Roland are being this reinvention of the franchise which stars John Krasinski and Abbie Cornish and follows CIA analyst Ryan as he uncovers a pattern in terrorist communication that launches him into the center of a dangerous gambit with a new breed of terrorism. Om Puri
Veteran Indian actor Om Puri, star of “Aakrosh” and “Arohan,” has died at the age of 66 of a heart attack. The prolific Bollywood actor worked on a number of films in the U.S. and U.K.

Over a career almost half a century long, Puri starred in over a hundred films including “City of Joy,” “Wolf,” “The Ghost and the Darkness,” “Charlie Wilson’s War,” “The Hundred-Foot Journey,” “East is East,” “Gandhi,” “Code 46,” “The Parole Officer,” “My Son the Fanatic” and “The Canterbury Tales” [Source: THR]

I.F.
Jeremy Renner and Don Handfield are set to produce Combine’s first animated film “I.F.” (Imaginary Friend) for Straight Up Films and Cinesite. Development and pre-production will begin this year.

The project is inspired by the song “Imaginary Friend” from Grammy-nominated kid-hop artist Secret Agent 23 Skidoo and his album Perfect Quirk. [Source: Deadline]
